Scholarships at University of Winneba Ghana

The University of Winneba provide the following scholarships to students at the university. These scholarships are granted each year.

1. Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund (VCSF)

The University of Winneba is inviting applications form suitable applicants who are studying at the university to apply for the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund (VCSF).

Applicants have to complete the application and send them to the Deans of Faculty or Director, IEDE

Students who are studying any Distance Education program should send the completed applications through their Coordinators to the Director of IEDE.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

This is the eligibility criteria for the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund

  1. Applicant should be a Ghanaian
  2. You should be a student of University of Winneba
  3. Not be studying a Full fee paying program at the University.
  4. Must be an excellent student and proof of financial need.
  5. Should submit the application before the deadline
  6. An applicant should not be on another scholarship
  7. Comply with all the requirements

Accessing the Scholarship

  1. The applicant will confirms whether he or she is eligible for the scholarship.
  2. The applicant should submit the application before the deadline
  3. The Coordinators of the scholarship will receive the applications, review them, make recommendations and forward them to the Division of Academic Affairs.

Scholarship Amount 

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund includes

  • University tuition fees
  • Food cost
  • Accommodation cost
  • Book cost
  • Living expenses

Payment to Beneficiaries

University tuition fee will be paid into students fee account

The rest will be paid into applicants bank account.

2. Vodafone Ghana Scholarships

Vodafone Ghana Foundation is providing scholarship opportunities to Female Ghanaian students to study at the University of Winneba.

The program is a three year scholarship scheme which will support needy excellent female students to study mathematics courses, ICT and Science at the University of Education, Winneba.

Eligibility
  • Applicant must be a Ghanaian and at the same time resident in Ghana
  • First year student at the University of Education, Winneba
  • Involve in any extra-curricular activity at the University
  • Should not have received another scholarship
  • Should be academically inclined
  • Show proof of need
