The Newcastle University award sports scholarships every year to new students who apply to study undergraduate or postgraduate programs. The scholarship is also available to current students. The scholarship is reviewed every year.
Applicants for the sports scholarships will have to show previous and current sporting achievements. They should also indicate proof of commitment to continue performing for the University.

Eligibility for sports scholarships
- students who have received an unconditional offer to study at the Newcastle University or are currently studying at Newcastle University.
- You receive a representative honours at the national or regional level.
- athletes who will be participating in one of the Performance Clubs

Hockey, Lacrosse, Netball, Rowing, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Ski, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Waterpolo, Badminton, Basketball, Fencing, Football.
